Thing # 10

I have to be honest. I don't check the copyright guidelines as closely as I should when I take things from the internet. I have always paid attention to the "cc" when making paper copies to use in the classroom, but the internet is so loaded with immediate clips for use, etc., that I don't look for the copyright guidelines. Watching the video clips makes me more aware of looking out for the "cc" as I prepare presentations for staff development sessions. How does all this apply when you are giving a presentation? Sometimes, a clip I find can add clarity or inspiration to a presentation and I just need it to fit. I can't really say for sure if I have broken copyright guidelines or not while using internet resources, but I can tell you that I will pay closer attention in the future.

  1. I'm with you on the copyright thing. I even put a picture on my wiki and then went back and checked it. It was copyrighted! So I got to do an extra task on my wiki and delete the first photo and find another! I know this will get easier the more time I spend on it and I do enjoy it, but I'm just going to have to set some time every day to do someTHING!
